Warranty Policy
Pickle Addicts sells genuine paddles and gear sourced only from official brands and their authorised distributors — nothing grey-market, nothing parallel-imported. That matters for warranty, because it’s what makes your claim valid in the first place.
Two layers of cover
- Brand warranty. Every paddle carries its manufacturer’s own warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Coverage length and process vary by brand — check the manufacturer’s website for specifics. Some brands (e.g. Selkirk, JOOLA) require you to register the paddle after purchase before they’ll honour a claim, and some insist claims go directly through them rather than through us. Where that’s the case, we’ll point you to the right channel.
-
Pickle Addicts store warranty. On top of the brand’s cover, we back every paddle and gear item with our own defect warranty:
- Standard items: 90 days from date of purchase
- Selected premium models: up to 120 days (noted on the product page where it applies)
- Items bought at 25% off or steeper: 30 days, or excluded entirely — check the product listing
This is cover against genuine manufacturing defects only. It is not an extended-play guarantee.
What counts as a defect
A valid claim needs an actual fault in how the paddle was built — not how it’s been played with.
Core damage. Press firmly on the centre of the paddle face — if you hear a distinct crunch or feel the face give way, that’s a genuine core defect. Note the distinction: a faint sound when you squeeze along the edge of the paddle is a different thing entirely (see below) and isn’t the same as core damage.
Edge guard detachment. If the edge guard has come loose from the paddle face, or there’s a visible gap running between the guard and the paddle surface right out of the box, that’s a manufacturing fault.
Grip and handle faults. Construction issues with the handle or factory grip — as opposed to wear from use — are covered.
We’ll always check with you that the issue showed up during normal play, not after a drop, impact, or DIY fix — that distinction determines whether it’s a defect or damage.
What doesn’t count
“It rattles when I squeeze the edge.” This is the most common false alarm. Many paddles are built with a honeycomb core plus perimeter foam around the edges, and that foam is designed to compress — a soft sound from squeezing the top or side edge is normal, even on a brand-new paddle straight out of the wrapper. It is not delamination and won’t qualify as a defect on its own.
Normal wear and use. Grit or texture wearing down from regular hitting, edge guard nicks, grip wear, faded graphics, and light scuffing that doesn’t affect play are all expected outcomes of using a paddle — not defects.
Damage from impact or misuse. Throwing or slamming the paddle, striking the ground, court fence, or any object other than a pickleball, and paddle-on-paddle collisions are not covered.
Poor storage. Damage traced back to extreme heat, humidity, or being left somewhere it shouldn’t (a hot car, for instance) is excluded.
Structural changes. Swapping or removing the butt cap, resurfacing the face, or any other permanent modification voids the warranty on that paddle — especially if the fault shows up in the modified area. Cosmetic add-ons like overgrips, edge guard tape, or lead tape are fine and don’t affect your cover.
Individual brands may set their own, more detailed defect criteria beyond what’s listed here. Where that’s the case, we’ll apply the stricter of the two.
How to claim
Register your warranty claim using the link below:

Please have the following ready before you fill it in:
- What’s wrong and when you noticed it
- Clear photos or a short video of the issue
- Your order number or receipt
- Anything else that helps us assess it
Prefer to do it in person? Bring the paddle to us in Ipoh and we’ll take a look on the spot.
What happens next
We’ll review what you send and, where needed, inspect the paddle ourselves. Some cases are clear-cut; others we’ll need to check with the manufacturer first, which can add a few extra days. Either way, we’ll get back to you with a decision as soon as we have one.
If approved, we’ll replace the paddle from current stock. If that exact model’s no longer available, we’ll issue store credit for what you paid, valid for 30 days, to put toward something else. One replacement per original purchase — the replacement paddle doesn’t inherit a fresh warranty clock of its own.
A few conditions
Warranty cover belongs to the original buyer and isn’t transferable if you sell or gift the paddle on. It doesn’t extend to secondhand paddles or ones received free as part of a promotion. Non-paddle gear (bags, balls, apparel, accessories) follows this same process, adjusted sensibly for the product type.
